Company Overview

A London-based global venture capital firm, Saffron Hill was founded in 2000 by a group of principals and shareholders to pursue opportunities presented by the rapid growth of the European technology sectors. We have built a portfolio of EU and US assets within the software, and cleantech sectors, helping to develop companies from the earliest stages through to IPO.

Investment Focus
Our portfolio ranges from image recognition platforms to technology that transforms waste plastic to crude oil, but all share the common characteristic of being disruptive opportunities targeting very large markets. We will participate in multiple business sectors, but have a particular focus on clean technology investments.

Our typical early stage investment is in the first or second round of institutional financing with an initial investment of £500,000 to £2 million. As our companies grow, we will continue to invest and have no maximum investment limit, nor maximum investment timeframe. Our Limited Partners will occasionally co-invest alongside us.
